From the Bard to contemporary dance, TAFE SA Adelaide College of the Arts (AC Arts) students will be treading the boards this June with a collection of dynamic productions.
The second- and third-year acting students perform Shakespeare’s comedy As You Like It with an Aussie twang. Arguably Shakespeare’s greatest, this ambitious and loved comedy is being taken to the Australian bush with young Rosalind living in the rural fringe society.
Following on is a double bill of second- and third-year dance productions. The students have developed these new works with leading dance choreographers.
The third-year students perform A philosophy on the development of Eden, choreographed by the award-winning, Daniel Jaber.
The second years then perform two short works: So The Story Goes, choreographed by Peter Sheedy and The Leading Edge choreographed by Lisa Griffiths.
Educational Manager, Ian Grant said, "Our live performances offer outstanding value due to the very high standards achieved by our performing and technical students - do yourself a treat and watch a future star in action."
