SATAC application process
Certificate III in Scenery and Set Construction [CUF30307], Certificate IV in Scenery and Set Construction [CUF40607] and the Diploma of Scenery and Set Construction (CUF50607).

Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.

Certificate III in Scenery and Set Construction
4 core units: Work effectively in the screen and media industries; carry out measurements and calculations; use hand tools; participate in OHS processes; plus 6 specialist units and 2 elective units.

Certificate IV in Scenery and Set Construction
4 core units: source and apply entertainment industry knowledge; monitor a safe workplace; coordinate production operations; promote team effectiveness: plus 10 elective units.

Diploma of Scenery and Set Construction
Core units: manage risk; ensure team effectiveness; ensure a safe workplace; coordinate production operations; establish and manage production requirements and resources; plus 14 electives.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Award Courses - SATAC application process

Any one of:
  • Satisfactory completion of SACE Stage 2 (or equivalent)
  • Any Certificate III
  • Satisfactory achievement in the TAFE SA Assessment of Basic Skills (TABS)
