Advanced Diploma of Film and Television Production
In the first year students develop skills in Communicating via the screen for both Film and Television Production inclusive of fundamentals of Screen Language and Digital Production practices via Digital Camera and Editing exercises. Training in Specific Crew Roles for On Set & Location based productions, via current industry practices. In the Diploma students extend their skills in writing for the screen, production planning / management and in camera techniques and editing practices for both Television and Film productions across all crew roles through the completion of Infotainment style productions as well as participation in the Short Dramas & Documentary & Studio based productions via current industry practices. Students graduate with skills in, program planning, production & post production practices. In the final year students further advance their skills in writing for the screen, producing / production management, cinematography and specifically in directing for film & television production. Productions include location based short dramas & documentaries & studio set based television production. This course equips graduates with the comprehensive skills required for today’s screen industry.
