When I am in the privileged position of teaching or directing a young actor at AC Arts I am always reminded of the enormous effort it takes to not only teach a craft but to craft a talent.
A great actor is created by the same forces that create any great artist, that is, a combination of a raw and vital talent matched by the most rigorous training and then the right opportunities all lining up at the right time beyond that training.
The greatest testament to the success of any performing arts training is the ultimate success of those emerging young performers and their ability to amaze, enrapture and thrill an audience.
That is the impulse I believe drives the performing arts training at AC Arts: to create such performers.
